We went into Mataranka to check out the Hot Springs and found the house which was used for the filming of 'We of the Never Never', interesting to read about the author, I'll have to read that now, I can't really remember the movie. |

The water in the Springs is so clear and warm but the pool looks too much like any pool and we wanted to see Bitter Springs as well so drove the short distance up the road and actually got into the water at Bitter Springs, a much more natural hot spring, and floated down a short distance then swam back to the beginning rather than get out and walk. It would have been easier to walk but good exercise anyway. It’s surprising how much current there is, it certainly doesn’t look like it’s flowing very much at all.

A quick change and back on the road to Katherine, where we are staying for 3 nights, going on a Dawn Gorge cruise tomorrow morning so hopefully lots of lovely photos tomorrow!

Went for a drive out to where the cruise starts and the Bats have taken over the trees, so noisy and smelly, a bit of a risk walking under them I think.
32 degrees here now and we’re feeling very drained.
